We have two base rooms which are used for the daily care of our babies. We have excellent dedicated staff working with the babies, who have suitable training and experience in caring for such young children. The Early Years Foundation Stage has been implemented and is followed daily.
The rooms serve a variety of purposes incorporating a comfortable area for smaller babies, physical equipment, construction toys, table top toys and treasure basket. The baby unit also enjoys a sensory room where many fun and new experiences take place for 0-2 year children. These are a few examples, light displays, bubble machines, variety of music, sand and water play a wide array of messy activities.
When babies reach 18 months of age we take them regularly into the role-play and 'creative' rooms within the nursery, so that they can interact with the older children whilst taking part in some of their own activities. This will also maintain a smooth transition for babies when moving permanently into the nursery section.
