As you would expect from us we want the best for your child at Smartypants, therefore we only serve food of the highest quality.
All of our food is freshly prepared on a daily basis by our cook, Sarah Reid.
A daily menu including meals and snacks is displayed within the nursery so parents can see what their child will be enjoying.
 
Fresh fruit and vegetables used are of the highest quality from Supa Fruit, Nelson. We buy our Free Range Eggs on a weekly basis from George's Farm Eggs, Loveclough.
 
We are actively trying to incorporate '5 a day' into your child's diet. We do this by providing only fresh fruit for snacks, lovely fresh seasonal vegetables in our hearty hot lunches and fresh fruit in our yummy, home - made puddings.
We encourage your child to try lots or new things. We do this by tasting sessions, talking about new fruits and vegetables and displaying colourful pictures of healthy food around the nursery.

Tea - Italian Minestrone Soup. Lemon & Sultana Sponge
Tuesday Lunch - Meatballs, Cabbage Mash & Carrot Batons. Oat & Apple Crumble with Custard.
Tea - Choice of Sandwiches - Tuna & Sweetcorn or Grated Cheese, Cheese Spread and Carrot. Fresh     Fruit Salad.
Wednesday Lunch - Home - Made Fish Fingers, Oven Baked Chips and Peas. Spiced Rice & Sultana Pudding.
Tea - Butternut Squash Soup. Pear & Apricot Flapjacks.
Thursday Lunch - Sausage Casserole with Broccoli & Carrots. Chocolate Bread & Butter Pudding.
Tea - Mexican Chicken Wraps with Sweet Chilli & Tomato Dip. Banana Cake
Friday Lunch - Tomato Pasta Bake. Sticky Toffee Pudding & Custard.
Tea - Home - Made Pizza. Chocolate Dipped Fruit.
